In The Coffeehole, Colin Roberts pokes fun at the caffeine bombarded society we live in today by creating his own version of a coffee shop. The gallery space is transformed into something the average caffeine addicted consumer would never expect. Coffee pours from the ceiling in a stream when a button is pushed, slightly reminiscent in an oddly humorous way to Charles Ray’s ink line piece. One can also not help but think of what the future has in store for coffeehouses when standing in the space. In true coffee shop fashion, this installation will include art and music performances that are scheduled throughout the month that The Coffeehole is installed.
